In the ruling era of Sayaji Rao Gaekwad I, coins were minted at this place, located near Ghadiyali Pol. This place is now popularly known as Shree Sayaji High School. In 1797, here the Babashahi coins were minted with Big water ponds & huge furnace to melt copper & make coins. Maharaja Fatehsinh Rao Gaekwad were known popularly as Fatehsinh Baba, so it is called Babashahi coins. Probably it was only Gaekwadi mint.

A Jain temple near this building was popular in old times, as there was Haveli of Sureshwar Desai which was demolished & then made temple.
